Performance at the Casbah Coffee Club in West Derby, Liverpool. The Beatles and Bob Wooler meet Brian at NEMS record stores. Before they go with Wooler to drink to the Bridge pub. 16:30. Time agreed for the 1st formal meeting with Brian. 17:30. John, George, Pete and Bob Wooler are the first appearing for the meeting. 18:00. Half an hour later than the rest, and after going home to take a bath, Paul appears at NEMS.

Ron White writes to Brian Epstein, returning him the Beatles' German contract, promising to intercede before EMI.

Brian writes to Ron White, from the EMI sales department, to get them an EMI record contract. Brian has already sent him a copy of `My Bonnie'.

Afternoon: the Beatles perform at the Cavern Club. Evening: show at the Tower Ballroom, New Brighton, Wallasay, backing up Davy Jones, a black singer from America who is living in the UK.

Saturday
First live performance at the Palais Ballroom in Aldershot with Ivor Jay and the Jaywalkers. Because of an advertising mix-up, no one showed, so word was spread around about a free dance. 18 people then showed up. The Beatles then went to the Blue Gardenia in Soho, London where they got up on stage without George and played free again.
