The Beatles and Allen Klein negotiate with Joseph Lockwood an increase of the group royalties. EMI decides to balt negotiations until seeing what happens with the group businesses and NEMS's purchase by Triumph Investment.

Klein flies to New York for a meeting with the board of directors of ABKCO. John, George and Ringo order Peter Brown and Neil to sign Klein's contracts. The contracts are signed, with the sole exception of Paul's. Alistair Taylor is fired as Apple's director.

Ringo boards the `Queen Elizabeth II' to sail to the USA for the filming of `The Magic Christian'. He travels with Maureen, their two children, Peter Sellers, George and Pattie. John and Yoko decide to live permanently in the USA. John and Yoko are scheduled to join Ringo and the others on the trip, but had to cancel at the last moment since John does not get his visa.
